HELLO
Welcome to The Vedic Method
Nice to meet you, I'm Kristen Vandivier, teacher of Vedic Meditation and founder of The Vedic Method.

I came to Vedic Meditation a decade ago at the height of a very fast-paced, high demand career in creative advertising. On the outside, everything seemed great–I lived on a houseboat in Sausalito, California, worked at a glamorous job, had just gotten engaged–but on the inside I was anxious all the time and experiencing serious health problems. Very rarely did I feel truly happy. It seemed to be my life story, the picture was lovely, but underneath there was suffering. I was fed up with my most precious resource, time, being wasted in this half-state. After much seeking, Vedic Meditation seemed to find me. During my initial course, I remember walking out and looking at the world as if I'd never seen it before. A kind of intangible dullness had lifted.

After going through such a profound shift, I felt a calling to help others experience that same deep inner-contentedness and finally realize the best experience of themselves.

WHAT IS
VEDIC MEDITATION?
Simple, Natural, Effortless
Vedic Meditation is an effortless, natural and highly beneficial form of meditation. It is an eyes-closed technique practiced for 20 minutes twice a day. While most other forms of meditation rely on concentration or contemplation, with Vedic Meditation we learn to let go and experience deep relaxation in a simple, easy way. This process allows for years of accumulated stress in the body to unwind layer by layer, revealing the full potential of your body and mind.

The practice is in fact a form of yoga known in Sanskrit as nishkam karma yoga or union by action hardly done. Which is true. All we do is sit comfortably with back supported, close the eyes, and use a mantra to trigger the process of de-exciting the mind and repairing the body.
Why do we call it Vedic? It comes from the 5,000 year old body of knowledge from India known as the Veda – a series of teachings about the laws of nature and consciousness from which all yoga and Ayurvedic practices have their source. This technique is not a religious practice–people of all faiths and spiritual traditions practice Vedic Meditation.

BENEFITS
Body + Mind
Imagine the stress in your body as dirt and clutter which fogs the mind and hinders the body. With each meditation, you are cleaning it out resulting in a clearer mind, improved health, and a baseline state of happiness.

This technique can decrease depression, anxiety, insomnia, slow the signs of aging and increase creativity and intelligence.
Relationships
Love is the recognition of unity with another. Think of what stress does to that feeling of unity–it cuts you off from it. Meditation lets you feel truly present with your partner, your children and your friends.
This technique can result in greater tolerance, sociability, marital satisfaction, and improved emotional maturity.
Life Path
Amazing things begin to happen when your start to meditate. You become your best self which comes with incredible powers of manifestation. All that invisible obstruction melts away. What's left is a life of joy and adventure.
This technique can result in greater self-confidence, productivity, time-management, and a more positive perception of self and others.

It seems like at this point, most everyone has heard about the benefits of meditating and has even tried it with varying degrees of success. Very few have committed practices. This is because motivating yourself to do something without really having a full understanding of what you’re doing and how it works is almost impossible. During this talk, I demystify what meditation is and exactly how it works.
In this course you will receive your mantra in a private appointment, and then in a relaxed small group environment learn all about the mechanics of how to use it properly and exactly how it works to transform your body and mind.
We'll also go over how to fit the practice into your busy life, all the benefits of meditation and what you can expect down the road.
Please book an intro talk with me before registering.
